I did a Google search and found a LOT of people, blogs, websites, etc. that use the name “Geek Dad” and I’m not surprised. I didn’t pick the name to be original, and I don’t claim to be any special kind of “Geek Dad” but I definitely am a geek dad. I’m a geek, my wife is a geek, and my almost one year old son can already change the settings on our laptops and call both of his grandmothers from Aithyne‘s cellphone, so you can see the direction he is heading in. ;-)

I don’t know what he’ll be like growing up, I just want to be there to push him in the right directions and be there for him. We all know this will include making sure he has safe computer access and plenty of time with the old gaming systems.

Anyway, I am not the “Geek Dad” but I am a geek dad and I am Nublet’s geek dad.
