SwagBucks Info

There is something I thought that I should talk about concerning SwagBucks, the best Search & Win site on the internet ;-).
SwagBucks has over 100 search sites based on various artists, sports teams, etc. — Say for example that you were interested in the band Trapt:

And you wanted to get prizes from this band specifically… like an autographed poster, or a song on iTunes – Band specific items in the swag bucks store are cheaper when searching through the specific band’s search site, but if you’re just looking for something generic that’s offered throughout the swag bucks stores, like an iTunes gift card, or a Starbucks gift card, then these are cheaper in the regular SwagBucks store:
The catch is, please note, you have to have swagbucks earned on this specific SwagBucks site to get items in this specific SwagBucks store. Your swagbucks do not work between the different sites. However, you can see the sites that you have swagbucks for. You should see the total amount of swagbucks you have as well as details on where you got them under the “Your Swag Bucks” section of the site.
So if you have 20 swagbucks on the main swagbucks site, and you have 100 swagbucks on the Trapt site, then you can only use 100 swagbucks in the Trapt search store. I hope this makes sense.
In all of this, there is something that makes it very simple: you only have to sign up once and you have access to all of the search and win sites. If you sign up on the main site and decide you’d like to search and win using one of the other sites, you can!
I read a post on the Swag Codes blog and thought I should mention this for anybody that I may have referred or that may be interested in joining. This information is great to know going in, rather than finding out about it later on.
If you haven’t joined yet, why not? Everybody has to search the internet, and most people do it several times a day. Isn’t it time for you to get something for it?
Added 5/16/2009: Have you noticed swagbucks coming from other sites that you don’t remember searching on? Don’t worry, you’re not losing your mind (well, at least over this… can’t help you otherwise)! Friends that you refer will earn you swagbucks for the specific sites that they use, too. So if they’re earning with Puddle of Mudd, you will be too.
