Problem with Scam Lists

February 27, 2009

You might notice that I don’t try to make a list of scam sites here. If I list a site and it doesn’t work or turns out to be a scam I will immediately remove it and/or let you know.

I try to focus on the sites that work, rather than the sites that don’t. Maybe it’s that little bit of optimism in me clawing to get out. ;-)

There are problems with scam lists though, and that’s what this post is really about. I’ve been running into a bunch of sleezy looking “scam” lists lately. They’re mostly aimed at PTC sites (with some exceptions), and the people that are copy & pasting them have a few things in common:

  • English is obviously not their first language (I don’t know why this has been the case every time for this specific list).
  • They don’t even bother to research the sites they list (This right here ticks me off)
  • They all copy and paste the list from a certain source, though I don’t know who gives the first list.

I’ve found SimpleGPT to be on this copy and paste unresearched list. The funny part is they don’t even list SimpleGPT.com they list the FORUM LINK. I emailed one recently that refused to remove SimpleGPT no matter how much evidence was provided that it is not a scam, even though she admitted multiple times that she had never even heard of SimpleGPT. She changed the link to SimpleGPT.com after refusing to remove it or even research it after seeing the proof! You can see that scam list here. Feel free to email her and let her know that SimpleGPT is legit!

SimpleGPT is legit and if you have any questions feel free to ask. You can check my Payment Proof post, and I’ll help with any thing I can.

I can tell you that if there is anybody that did not receive payment from SimpleGPT it is because they were banned for fraudulent activities (or a similar reason). Please read the TOS and follow the rules. This goes for any site.

Always research any site before you join it!
