Sunday could be better than this

March 7, 2009

Some people will spend their Sunday thinking about the week. Some will be thinking about church. Some will be thinking about what they did the night before and trying to piece it together. Some might not be thinking about much at all as they sleep the day away.

Me? I’ll be thinking about the crack in my windshield that suddenly appeared and spread to 2 inches long at the bottom edge of the windshield. I’ll be thinking about how I could be paying anywhere from $60 – $225, and trying to figure out windshield mess while I need to be getting things ready for our trip to Houston. It has to be either repaired or replaced, but of course nobody can even talk to me about it until Monday. The plan is to leave on Thursday so I’m hoping to work this out pretty quick. There’s never really enough money or time these days.

I’m sure tomorrow will be better than I’m thinking, but at the very least it’s been on my mind since about 3:30 PM today; I noticed it on the drive home from visiting my parents.

Ah well, here’s hoping for the best.

  1. For what it’s worth…I’m confident it’ll work out okay.

Also, I love the personalized comment box. It works for your site really well.

  2. Sorry to hear about that. A tiny rock nicked my windshield one time and eventually, I had a crack run out from both sides of the “nick” until I had a solid line all the way across my windshield. You will probably have to just replace it unless you want to drive with it like that. Didn’t bother me much, cuz I was too poor to buy a new windshield, so I just sucked it up…as usual.

  3. @Kelly: If you catch it when it is small enough, and depending on where it is located they can actually repair it. I had a guy a few years ago repair one that showed up in the middle of my windshield (different car). You couldn’t even find the crack when he finished with it. I just have to wait until Monday to find out if this one can be repaired or not. I’m getting two opinions if the first person says no. Time consuming fun!
