Time Travel – Thinking Too Much
May 25, 2009Things can get pretty crazy sometimes. When they do, we tend to think into "What if?" and remember things we could have done differently.
Now I realize there are several different "theories" about time travel, and I’ve read (and watched) a lot of sci-fi but just go with it.
Think about your life now. Bad and crazy things aside, don’t you appreciate at least something? I’m sure you do – at least one thing. What if you could go back in time to change some of the things that led to the bad and crazy things? Wouldn’t it be great?
What if changing some of those things rippled through time to change the good things along with the bad? Would you be willing to go back and change those bad things if it meant losing the good ones?
Experiences count for a lot – good and bad. Never forget the good things you have, even in the hard times. And that’s coming from the guy who writes the Humor Rants.

I would like to travel back in time , but I would not change anything … What has happened in the past makes me what I am today…A person who comments on posts such as this
:-) LOL!!!
Time travel is one of my favorite things to think about. Most days, I sit and daydream about traveling through time and what I would or wouldn’t do different. I think we are better off just leaving things be. Think of the butterfly effect. If you change just a small detail in your past, it could have serious repercussions on the present and future. Some things are just better left alone. But it’s nice to daydream about anyhoo.
@Kelly: BTW, your blog is rawking!
I've often wondered about this kinda stuff. I met my wife, the love of my life, after an extremely unfortunate situation. I thought about whether we would have ever met if I could have gone back in time to change the bad scenario. We believe that changing it would have changed us.
So I feel that good can arise from the bad and all we can do is learn from it instead of wishing we could take it back. The bad times teach us how to be better.
You know this, but I think about it all the time. I constantly think about what would have happened if we had done things differently…not bought a wedding dress that was so expensive or gotten better grades or whatever. And then I realize…we have Noah and we have a good life together and I am so happy with where we're at. Yeah, it's tough right now, but this experience will just teach us so much more in the long run.
I love you. <3
Thanks! Also, new comment system. Woo!
That period of time between lying down and getting to sleep (unless you just hit the pillow and fall asleep, I can't do that) is the best time to think about that kind of thing. It is nice to think about it sometimes, though I wouldn't want to mess things up. With all of the rough stuff, I have a happy life.
Agreed! You lucked out with a short comment reply. =D
Our life is perfect together. I love you.
I'm definitely not one of those that falls asleep when I hit the pillow. It takes me hours to fall asleep. That is the time I use to try and solve problems. Then I sleep on it, and usually have solutions when I wake up.
Awww! Ya'll are so sweet!
