Dear Google Maps, thank you for sending me in the opposite direction
of the comic book store I wanted to go to. > SELECT finger FROM hand

We took my brother in law along (Lynn’s brother) and due to the
misdirection, went out to the mall first and had a blast, then went
back and found the comic book store we intended to visit. We all
scored some great comics. For our first comic book day, I’d say it was
a success. We’ll be going back in there when it isn’t as busy and
crowded to check out some of their other (not so free) selections
later on.

I upgraded my laptop to Ubuntu 10.04 last night. I partitioned for
separate / and /home directories in the last Ubuntu update, so I was
ready this time. I just wiped the / and installed the new version.
BAM! I’ve been bringing things back up to my normal standards with the
applications and customization I like since then, but I’m thrilled.
I’ve even gone in and updated my flash drive for the new version. I do
have to say I’m very satisfied with it overall.
I’m forcing myself to use the terminal more, and I’m forcing myself to
learn more and more about it as well as SSH, Linux, servers, and
anything else I can cram into my skull. I need to know, not just for
work, but for personal goals. I never want to stop learning.

Free Comic Book Day is May 1st, this Saturday for those of you who
have a hard time keeping up with the date like me.

Maybe I just don’t have the drive to write about things lately.
We finally found a place to move into here in Houston. We love it!
It’s nice to be on our own again. Moving with very little help was
painful (literally, I’m finally feeling better). We’re still unpacking
and there’s still a little left at the storage place, but whatever.
We’re bringing it home one car trip at a time.
Roughly 10 minutes from writing this post before my shift starts. Must
be time to drink my awesome coffee and put my headphones on. No
promises, but blog posts may return to semi-normal status soon.
Heavy rain + Major interstate + Houston drivers = JKSDHJKDHDJKHDJKHSJKDJKNDKD
It was an interesting drive to work this morning.
Skipping lunch sucks, but getting home an hour early because it got
too busy is awesome.
Kitchen Nightmares put out a new episode – looking forward to watching
that on Hulu later tonight.
Music is my addiction.
This random post brought to you from Lynn’s laptop, since I’m too lazy
to get mine from the other room.
That is all.
Now that I’ve got my blog set up for email updates, I can just post
from work when I’m on break.
My life is funded by the internet. SCHWEET.
Lunch today: Sonic Burger of some kind and a Dr. Pepper… Now if I
could clear this headache up. I also blame the INTARWEBZ for my
headache. I could always go do something other than sit on the
computer on my breaks, but meh.
Back to not working for another 20 minutes or whatever. Yay lunch, now
come on 3 PM so I can GTFO.
